God's Grace
Ephesians chapter 2 verse 8 says that we are saved by grace through faith. What is "grace"? grace means "undeserved kindness", "unmerited favor". We all do not deserve the free gift of eternal life in heaven, we all deserve hell fire and damnation,because we have all sinned against God in some way or another. God treats us better than we deserve to be treated, first of all, He sent is Son to die in order to pay for our crimes against Him. Salvation is something one can NEVER earn, we are saved by grace, and it is by grace that we are kept saved. We are kept saved by the power of God as it says in 1 Peter 1:5, but it is by the grace of God that we are kept saved by that power. Anyone who thinks they deserve to go to heaven, probably won't go to heaven. A person has to see his or her self as a deserving hell bound sinner in order to experience the grace of God of getting saved.
Since God Almighty treats us better than we deserve to be treated, then we ought to treat other people better than they deserve to be treated. It is God's grace that He puts up with us, and we should have grace toward our fellow man or woman by looking past their faults and see their need. God makes his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and He sends the rain on the just and the unjust, as Jesus said in Matt. 5:45, and it is by grace that He does that, so we ought to show other people grace even though we think they don't deserve it, after all, "for unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required" {Luke 12:48}
Remember, if it weren't for the grace of God, we would all be headed for hell. When you realize that it was God's grace that He saved you and puts up with you, I believe it will be easier for you to show grace to other people when they mistreat you. It is all about the grace of God, and we as born again christians need to live by that grace.
