Women Preachers Not God's Order
There are many women preachers in churches across America, and I will admit, a lot of them preach better than some of the men, BUT, it is NOT God's order. The apostle Paul gave the qualifications of a preacher{bishop} in 1 Timothy chapter 3, and one of the qualifications is that it must be a man who is the HUSBAND OF ONE WIFE {verse 2} Now people, especially women would probably say, "Paul said that". Well, Paul got all his information from the Lord, for the first part of 2 Tim. 3:16 says, "All scripture is given by inspiration of God....." so God said that a bishop has to be a man who is the husband of one wife, and Paul wrote it down. Paul also wrote,"But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence" {1 Tim.2:12}, and he also wrote in 1 Cor. 14:34,35, "Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law. And if they will learn anything, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church."
To be one of the 12 disciples, did Jesus pick any women? No, He did not pick a woman. I heard some one say awhile back that if Jesus walked this earth today, He would have picked 6 men and 6 women to be His disciples, and I say He wouldn't, because Jesus Christ is "the same yesterday, and today, and forever" {Heb.13:8} He does not and will not change. Not to sound harsh, but any woman preacher who says that God called her to preach, is either lying or they made a mistake, because God won't go against His word. I am not anti women, and as I mentioned earlier, there are women who can preach better than some men, but it is not God's order.
God Bless,
Christopher
